Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the TwoBetter Learning application ("App", "TwoBetter Learning", or "Service"), operated by TwoBetter Tecnologia Ltda. ("TwoBetter", "we", "us"). By creating your account, you ("User", "you", "member") represent that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. Acceptance occurs at account creation, regardless of whether a specific sign-up screen reproduces the full text of these Terms.

TwoBetter Learning is an educational application focused on developing relational skills, organized into journeys and lessons with video content, written-response exercises, a library of masterclasses, and a member question-and-answer community. TwoBetter Learning shares an account structure with the TwoBetter Dating application, operated by the same controller, as described in Section 3.

Use of TwoBetter Learning is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By registering, you represent that you are of legal age.

The sign-up flow and the "Edit age" screen, in Settings, offer "18 or younger" among the age-range options. Selecting that option constitutes, for the purposes of this Section and the Privacy Policy, an indication of access by a minor: the App must stop the sign-up or edit flow at that point, display a notice that use of TwoBetter Learning is restricted to individuals 18 or older, and not proceed to the following steps of the questionnaire or store answers already given in that session. This behavior is a compliance requirement of these Terms; until the App's flow implements this block, use remains governed by this Section, and any account identified as belonging to a minor will be handled under the following paragraph, regardless of the step at which the age information was obtained.

We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we identify, by any means, an indication of access by a minor, we will block access and delete the personal data collected, without prior notice.

Registration is by email, Google, or Apple, followed by setting a name, a password (subject to minimum complexity rules), and code verification sent to your registered email. A single credential, managed by our identity provider (AWS Cognito), grants access to both TwoBetter Learning and TwoBetter Dating, if you use both. Each app, however, maintains its own settings, its own account-deletion flow, and its own consent text; deleting your account on TwoBetter Learning does not, by itself, delete your account on TwoBetter Dating, and vice versa, except where expressly stated on the applicable deletion screen at the time of the request.

Your TwoBetter Learning progress level and badges, when you use both apps with the same account, are shown as an informational block on your TwoBetter Dating profile, visible to other Dating users. No other TwoBetter Learning data is shared with TwoBetter Dating. Details of this sharing are set out in Section 5.1 of the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. If you forget your password, you can reset it through the "Forgot password" flow, with email verification.

Before your first lesson, you will answer an onboarding questionnaire about your learning goals and relevant personal context, used to recommend a journey, including, among others, multiple-choice questions about your current relationship status and your emotional state regarding relationships (for example, "Divorced or separated", "Afraid of getting hurt again"). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

The App organizes content into journeys made up of sequential lessons, which may include video, text, quizzes, and free-text response steps, in which you type personal answers as part of the exercise. We also offer a library of standalone content and video masterclasses with captions, presented by named educators and guests.

Educational content is provided for informational and personal-development purposes and does not constitute professional psychological, therapeutic, medical, legal, or financial advice. If you are experiencing significant emotional distress, a relationship crisis involving risk to your safety, or any condition requiring professional support, please seek a licensed psychologist, therapist, or other qualified professional; the App does not replace that support.

Progress through lessons is limited by a "lives" ("hearts") mechanic, which depletes with incorrect answers and replenishes over time or through the Premium subscription, as shown on specific App screens. The App also displays a comparative progress ranking among members, in which your full name and profile photo are shown to all other participating members; there is currently no setting to hide this. If the App later offers such a setting, this Section and the Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

The App includes a community where members post free-text questions and answers, can report other members' posts, cast agree/disagree votes ("upvote"/"downvote"), and share third parties' posts through a share sheet. All submitted content goes through an automated artificial-intelligence check before it appears in the feed, with three possible outcomes: approval and publication; referral for human review as a support case; or automatic rejection/blocking.

The decision to block a post is, as a rule, automated. You have the right to request human review of a blocking or rejection decision that significantly affects you by contacting our support channels, even where the App's interface does not present an immediate appeal path on the blocking screen itself. We reserve the right to remove, restrict the visibility of, or restrict publication of content that violates these Terms, at our discretion.

These Terms, including the conduct rules in this Section, constitute the community policy referred to on the App's screens; there is currently no separate community-policy document. If a dedicated document is published in the future, it will be made available within the App and will govern the community together with these Terms.

By posting in the community, you agree not to post content that is offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, discloses third parties' personal data without consent, constitutes unauthorized professional advice (for example, a psychological diagnosis), or infringes third parties' intellectual property rights.

You retain ownership of the written answers, community posts, and other content you submit to the App ("User Content"). By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, process (including through automated moderation systems), display it to other members where applicable, and use it, in aggregate and anonymized form, to improve pedagogical content and moderation models. This license terminates, as to future content, when you delete the relevant item or your account, subject to copies retained in security backups or to comply with a legal obligation.

The App lets you generate and share, outside the App (for example, on social media), progress and achievement cards. You control whether and when you share this content; once shared outside the App, your control over its further circulation depends on the destination platform, not on TwoBetter.

Some TwoBetter Learning content is free and some is reserved for paid subscribers. The App may offer an introductory free-trial period, whose length is disclosed on the purchase screen; at the end of the trial, recurring billing begins automatically at the price then in effect, unless cancelled before the trial ends, in the applicable app store settings or the App's settings. Prices are displayed in the currency and amount in effect in the purchase channel at the time of purchase; where amounts differ across App screens, the price shown on the purchase-confirmation screen immediately before payment controls. Amounts paid are non-refundable, except where required by law or the applicable app store's policy.

TwoBetter Learning may show eligible users an invitation ("deep link") to discover or access TwoBetter Dating. Access to TwoBetter Dating from that invitation is subject to that app's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, including as to onboarding and the collection of relationship-specific data.

The App, its brand, layout, videos, pedagogical scripts, algorithms, and other elements, excluding User Content, are owned by TwoBetter or its licensors. The name, image, and voice of educators and guests appearing in masterclasses are used under license or authorization from those individuals or the relevant rights holders. Unauthorized reproduction, download, distribution, or commercial exploitation of video content or pedagogical material outside the personal-use limits set out in these Terms is prohibited.

The App is provided "as is", with no guarantee of specific learning, behavioral, or relationship outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TwoBetter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages, or lost profits arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, including, where applicable, for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold TwoBetter harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your use of the App in violation of these Terms, or from User Content you post that infringes third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or a legal determination. You may terminate your account at any time in Settings, using the "Delete account" option. Account deletion on TwoBetter Learning follows its own flow, separate from the TwoBetter Dating deletion flow, and does not require selecting a reason beforehand; deleting your TwoBetter Learning account does not automatically affect an active TwoBetter Dating account, except where expressly stated on the applicable deletion screen at the time of the request. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-App notice or by email, with reasonable advance notice.

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the user's place of residence are the elected venue, subject to any different mandatory venue established by applicable mandatory law. For users residing in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state, nothing in this Section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your place of habitual residence.
